Operating Principle
CWY-DO eddy current sensor consists of a prode and a front part, there is a coil in the prode, whitch can form a high-grequebcy oscillation circuit together with a n oscillation circuit in the front of part. When operating, an eddy current sensor generates a eddy current on the matel surface that is to be measured, as the distance between the prode and the matel surface changes, the magnrtic field on the matel surface generated by the edddy current will causea change of the impedance in the oscillation circuit that is formed by the prode and the front part, so the change of the distance between the prode and the matel surface, can be detected by measuring the impedance of the prode coil.
