A Fire Rated Door-set consists of a door leaf, door frame, with hardware such as closers, handles, locks, vision panels, air grilles. Fire rated door-sets must be self closing and self latching to be certified and when installed correctly with approved hardware, a tag and certificate is issued for the frame and the door.
Our range of doors have been designed for easy trimming and installation on site, manufactured from a light weight materials which will reduce the time and effort required to hang the door.

Based on standard door configuration. Other size, finish, frame and hardware options are available.

Size: Single – 2040mm high x 820mm wide x 36mm thick (internal 1-hour). 2040mm high x 920mm wide x 45mm thick (external 2-hour).

Double – 2040mm high x 920/920mm wide x 45mm thick (external 2-hour).

Design: Incorporates 10mm wide external hardwood edge strips to form a frame around the core in compliance with AS1530 part 4 and AS1905 part 1.

Finish: Ply Sheet.

Core: Vermiculite Sheet.

Weight: 46mm leaf – 40KG. 38mm leaf – 32KG.

Door closes automatically under governor control after separation of fuse link.

Door guide assembly rests on the sill or floor to provide an attractive finished appearance eliminating setup gaps. Guides expand upward during a fire. ​​​​​​​​

Motor operated counter fire door does not require tension reset after automatic fire release. ​​​​​​​​

Installation:

As well as ensuring the door is hung properly and squarely, it is also very important that where a fire door is installed, any gaps left in the opening between the wall and the door frame must be properly filled with fire resisting material. Fire doors are normally installed by a carpenter.
