It is a whole piece veneer which has noseams or splice lines with the grain running along the 8’ dimension. Rotary cut white birch wood veneer commonly allows for some defects such as occasional pin knots and mineral streaks. Birch is a hardwood of medium density, easy to work with and strong. It has a smooth texture, tight uniform grain and satiny sheen. Another common grain characteristic of rotary cut birch veneer is an inconsistent ripple figure throughout the field. Whole piece white birch wood veneer will accept stains and finishes well and is often stained with bold colors or to mimic other species.
