Surge Special Circuit Breaker (SCB) basic info:
Surge special back-up protection device, referred to as SCB or SSD,
is a lightning protection device in recent years, more than 120

lightning current and power frequency current transmission speed of

resulting in device explosion and tripping, SPD failure at this
time.
3. When the lightning current passes through the circuit breaker,
the Up value (voltage protection level value) is very high, and the
SPD cannot play a protective role.
4, the fuse, circuit breaker short circuit analysis ability can not
be used in thetransformer into the line, short circuit accident can
not be cut off.
SCB series connection in front of SPD can do:
1.SCB can quickly cut off the access to prevent the lightning
protection device from catching fire when the lightning protection
device deteriorates and the distribution line has abnormal
overvoltage, so that the lightning protection device conducts short
circuit. Cut off current less than 3A;
2.When there is a lightning strike, the SCB connected in series in
the front end of the lightning protection device can ensure that
the 100KA lightning does not trip, not damage. To ensure the
continuous and effective function of the lightning protection
device;
3.The Up value (voltage protection level value) of SCB is very low
when it passes through the lightning current, which is equivalent
to the copper conductor of equal length;
4. Short-circuit breaking capacity exceeds that of MCCB up to
100KA;
