Ultrasonic Calibration Block ASME Basic Calibration Block for UT examination of welds
Specifications:
Calibration blocks is an important supplementary material in the
Ultrasonic testing, used to calibrate the sensitivity of the
ultrasonic flaw detector and ultrasonic probe. Our testing block is
certificated by the authority of the state depeartment. Our
products include: domestic standards UT blocks, European standard
UT block, NDT block, hexagonal testing block, and so on. Processing
of the special specifications UT block.
It is used for establishment of primary reference responses for UT examination of welds, ASME Basic Calibration Block 1 contains three side-drilled holes at 38mm deep minimum at 2.5mm diameter, the hole locations through the thickness are 1/4,1/2 and 3/4 T. It also contains 2 EDM notches measuring 2% T deep*6.4mm max wide*25 long min. In accordance with ASME Sec V T-434.2.
Weld Thickness(mm) | Block Dimension(mm) | Net Weight | Gross Weight | Parking |
Up to 25 | 150×120×19 | 3.5 | 4.5 | Engineering plastics cases |
Over 25 through 50 | 15×150×38 | 9 | 10 | Engineering plastics cases |
Over 50 through 100 | 150×225×76 | 23 | 24 | Engineering plastics cases |
Over 100 | 150×400×127 | 58 | 62 | Engineering plastics cases |
ASME Basic Calibration Blocks are intended to be representative of
actual components, and therefore do not have the smooth scanning
surfaces found on most general-purpose test blocks like the IIW or
DSC. Instead, our Basic Calibration Blocks are media blasted on all
surfaces to create a rough surface texture that is more
characteristic of real-world inspection conditions.
