working principle

Magnetic powder flaw detection using the workpiece defect of leakage magnetic field and the interaction of magnetic powder, it USES the steel surface and near surface defects (such as cracks, slag inclusion, grain, etc.) permeability and steel permeability difference, these materials after magnetization of the magnetic field discontinuity distortion will occur, forming part of the magnetic flux leakage and the leakage magnetic field, using its leakage magnetic energy of defective parts of the adsorption characteristic of magnetic powder, Thus, the magnetic particles are attracted to form the magnetic particles accumulation at the defects -- magnetic marks, which, under the appropriate lighting conditions, show the location and shape of the defects


Usage

Fluorescent magnetic particle flaw detector is used to detect the surface and near surface of ferromagnetic workpieces (such as bolts, pins, bushings, gears, gear rings, crankshafts, etc.) due to forging, quenching, grinding, fatigue caused by cracks and slag and other subtle defects
