Sea anchor is made of canvas fabric with strong hemp rope, used for liferaft/ lifeboat to slow the speed in the sea again wind.

The lifeboat is equipped with 1 sea anchor. Another small sea anchor is used on the life raft, equipped with 2, the sea anchor is mainly to reduce the drifting speed of the life boat and the life raft, and prevent the wind and waves from hitting the boat and the raft horizontally and causing the raft to be reversed.

The sea anchor comply with the amendment 1996 of 1974 SOLAS convention and the international life-saving applicance n code LSA. MSC. 81(70)
