Master alloy is a kind of metal as the matrix, and one or several
elemental substances are added to it to solve the problems of easy
burning of the elemental substance, high melting point difficult to
melt, high density and easy segregation, or special alloys used to
improve the alloy properties It is an additive functional material.
Magnesium-based master alloy is an alloy composed of magnesium as
the base and added with other elements, and is used as an additive
in cast magnesium alloys and wrought magnesium alloys. Zirconium
can significantly refine the casting structure of magnesium alloys,
improve the uniformity of the alloy structure and the stability of
its properties, and effectively improve its high-temperature creep
properties and mechanical properties.
