Description:
There are two types of ultrasonic welding: ultrasonic metal welding
and ultrasonic plastic welding. Among them, ultrasonic plastic
welding technology has been widely used. It uses the ultrasonic
vibration generated by the transducer to transmit the ultrasonic
vibration energy to the welding area through the upper welding
piece. Due to the large acoustic resistance at the welding zone,
that is, the junction between the two weldments, local high
temperatures will cause the plastic to melt and complete the
welding work under the action of contact pressure. Ultrasonic
plastic welding can facilitate the welding of parts that cannot be
welded by other welding methods. In addition, it also saves
expensive mold costs for plastic products, shortens processing
time, improves production efficiency, and is economical, fast, and
reliable.
Trial and commissioning instructions:
The matching of the transducer with the electric box and the mold
is the basis for system reliability and the use of the power of the
transducer. After the transducer is completed, there are no
adjustable parts. Adjust the electrical box and mold to match the
working state of the transducer.
Application :
The applications of ultrasound are extensive and are found in many industries including electrical and computer,automotive and aerospace, medical and packaging. Whether two items can be ultrasonically welded is determined by their thickness. If they are too thick ,this process will not join them. This is the main obstacle in the welding of metals. However, wires,microcircuit connections,sheet metal,foils,ribbons and meshes are often joined using ultrasonic welding. Ultrasonic welding is a very popular technique for bonding thermoplastics. It is fast and easily automated with weld times often below one second and there is no ventilation system required to remove heat or exhaust.
