Low temperature curing agent for epoxy powder coatings Jietonda® K7101 is a low temperature curing agent for epoxy, which
is especially designed for preparing various low temperature cure
decorative powders or fast curing functional powders. Because of
its good reactivity and catalytic activity, it can be used both as
a sole curative and as an accelerator for other epoxy hardeners,
such as DICY.
1. Typical properties Appearance | Tan Powder | [visual] | Melting range (℃) | 80-105 | | Specific gravity (g/cm3) | 1.15-1.17 | ASTM D5965 |
Herein described to be typical properties and do not constitute
specification limits. 2. Characteristics ● As a sole curative of epoxy powders, it can make the system
fully cross link at low temperature or expedite curing conditions
such as 120℃/30min or 240℃/30s. ● As an accelerator, it can reduce curing temperature or shorten
curing time of epoxy powders by combining with other epoxy
hardeners, such as DICY. ● Widely and excellent compatibility with epoxy resins impart
smooth and flat surface to the film. ● Good reactivity and catalytic activity at curing temperatures
impart excellent mechanical properties to the film. ● Good storage stability. 3. Use method & levels ● Premix K7101 with other components of the formula before
extrusion. ● As sole curative, the use level is 2-4 parts/100 parts of epoxy
resin (E.E.W 700~900) by weight. ● As an accelerator, the use level can be flexibly adjusted
according to the kind and levels of the main curing agent. 4. Package & Storage ● Packaging with PE lined fiber drums. Net weight 20kg per drum. ● Store in temperature below 25℃ or cool dry place to avoid
wetting-absorption. Keep away from heat and fire. ● The shelf life of K7101 is at least 1 year when stored under
above conditions. 5. Advisement ● To keep the storage stability, coating powders formulated by
K7101 should be stored below 25℃ or cool dry place and avoid
wetting-absorption. |
