Battery Free Falling Impact Testing Machine with Impact Height 1000mm Conform IEC 62133
Model:iRY-15
Explanation:
(1) Test sample The battery is placed on a test bench, and a 15.8
mm (5/8 inch) diameter rod is placed crosswise at the center of the
sample.
(2) A 9.1kg or 10kg weight falls from a height (61CM or 100CM) at
the intersection of the specimen and the steel bar.
Testing Standards:
IEC 62133:2012 specifies requirements and tests for the safe operation of portable sealed secondary cells and batteries (other than button) containing alkaline or other non-acid electrolyte, under intended use and reasonably foreseeable misuse.
SJ/T11169-1998 Standard for lithium batteries
SJ/T11170-1998 Safety standard for household and commercial
batteries
UL1642:2008 Standard for Lithium Batteries
cover primary (nonrechargeable) and secondary (rechargeable) lithium batteries for use as power sources in products. These batteries contain metallic lithium, or a lithium alloy, or a lithium ion, and may consist of a single electrochemical cell or two or more cells connected in series, parallel, or both, that convert chemical energy into electrical energy by an irreversible or reversible chemical reaction.

Test Requirements:
1. The test sample battery should be placed on a flat surface. A
15.8 mm (5/8 inch) diameter rod was placed crosswise at the center
of the sample. A 9.1 ± 0.16 (20 ± 1 pound) weight was dropped from
the height of 610 ± 25 mm (24 ± 1 inch) onto the sample.
2. The cylindrical or prismatic battery should have its
longitudinal axis parallel to the plane and perpendicular to the
center of the lying sample. The longitudinal axis of the 15.8 mm
(5/8 inch) diameter shaft is subjected to impact. The prismatic
battery also has to be rotated by 90° about its longitudinal axis
so that its wide side and narrow side can withstand the impact
test. Each sample battery is subjected to one impact, and different
samples are used for each test.
3, coin-type or button-type batteries, to make the surface of the
test sample parallel to the plane. A 15.8 mm (5/8 inch) diameter
curved surface was placed on the center of the battery.
