CHALLENGE

In order to measure large flow ranges and adapt to changing process conditions, it is often necessary to stack multiple transmitters or trade out orifice plates. This leads to increased costs, inventory, and process downtime.

OUR SOLUTION

RosemountTM Ultra for Flow (UFF) technology improves transmitter performance in high turndown applications. A single Rosemount UFF unit is able to capture the entire range, eliminating the need to stack transmitters or change out primary elements. Rosemount UFF also reduces inventory by allowing users to standardize on a single transmitter for any application. Rosemount Ultra for Flow is a transmitter accuracy class, based on a percentage of DP reading, where accuracy increases as flow rate turns down. In contrast, percent of span transmitters experience large errors when flow rate turns down.

Key Innovations

• .04% of reading specification over a 14:1 turndown

• Includes a 15 year warranty and 15 year stability

• Ultra for Flow accuracy class is exclusive to EmersonTM
