Welded wire mesh is a grid metal formed by welding a series of parallel transverse
and longitudinal steel wires. The grid is square or rectangular,
and the mesh with 1/4 – 1 inch opening is also known as hardware
cloth. The material used to manufacture welded mesh is usually
low-carbon steel wire, because welding steel wires with higher
carbon content is likely to cause stress corrosion cracking (SCC)
in the solder joints. According to the application or customer
requirements, the delivery conditions of the product include
panels/sheets or rolls.
Along with woven wire mesh, welded wire mesh is one of the two main
types of wire cloth products. Welded wire mesh is typically the
less expensive of the two materials. It consists of a grid pattern
featuring a series of parallel longitudinal wires that are welded
together at the point where the wires intersect. The strength and
thickness of the weld are determined by factors such as weld
pressure, time and temperature. Welded wire mesh can also be bent
or cut to form a variety of shapes without causing the wires to
come apart.

Characteristics: even surface, firm structure, precise opening etc, it has the good
property of corrosion-resisting and oxidation-Resisting.
Usage: It is widely used on building, food, agriculture etc. For
example, it is useded on reinforced concrete construction, floor
slabs reinforcement, brick wall reinforcement, floor warming etc.
Surface Treatment of Weld Mesh Panels and Rolls
The surface treatment of welded mesh panels and rolls generally has
the following types:
Galvanized: only used for carbon steel to prevent rust or corrosion of materials and increase service life.
PVC coating: used for carbon steel to prevent corrosion or rusting of materials and increase aesthetics.
Copper, brass or titanium plating: increase corrosion resistance or decoration.
