Fiber pigtail cables provide a fast way to make factory terminations in the field. Factory terminated pigtails can easily be fusion or mechanically spliced to an existing fiber line.

Single Mode 1x8 Fiber Optic Planar Lightwave Circuit (PLC) Splitters allow a user to split a single input signal evenly into eight output signals, which is ideal for passive optical networks (PON) and other high-channel-count applications. In contrast to fused fiber couplers, where light is coupled from one fiber core to the other, these devices operate as a continuous waveguide that splits the propagating signals. Each splitter features a ±40 nm bandwidth around both 1310 nm and 1550 nm center wavelengths and can support a max power of 300 mW when terminated. They cannot be used in reverse to combine light sources together into one output port.
