Introduction

Mitech 934-1 Series Barcol Impressor with Single Bracket is the latest product of indentation hardness tester. Equipped with rotating bracket for locating, it can effectively improve the stability of the device, thus improve the accuracy. Double brackets adopted, it can test hardness of tubes, rods and other non-planar material surface hardness with great stability.Digital display can offer with better measuring experience. The calibration can be achieved by simply pressing one key without dismantling. Working Principle

Working Conditions

The depth of workpiece to be measured must be over 1.5mm;

Sample surface coating will seriously affect the measurement accuracy, with sandpaper or solvent to remove the coating

after the hardness measurement;

The coating on the surface will affect the accuracy ,user need to get rid of it before measuring;

The instrument should be used in environments with strong vibrations, damp and corrosive gases;

Measure Notes When Testing

• While measuring, the indenter should be vertical to the surface of workpiece, or it may cause measurement error;
• Sample surface should be smooth, clean and with no mechanical damage. Coating removing or lightly polishing is needed when necessary;
• The sample thickness should not be under 1.5mm,There should be no obvious traces of the bearing surface after measurement;
• The minimum distance from indenter to any edge is 3mm;
• There should be no old indentation around 3mm inside;
• Sample should be stable. Smaller workpiece should be placed on firm back(Steel sheet or glass).Any move or deformation is allowed during the measurement;
• The instrument adopts multi-tests to get average value to measure. The testing times should be more if too soft or composite material;
• Different materials should be measured with different times showed as below:
