The instruction covers the application requirment of ANSI C136.41-2013 dimming receptacles used for road and area lighting . All contacts are pre-installed into the receptacle housing , and pre-crimped with 30CM lead wire , with 14AWG standard wire used on three-line voltage AC circuits and 18AWG wire used in four-way signal dimming control . Ambient temperature of the application is -40 to 70 degrees , suitable for outdoor lamps which require different temperature. There are 4 dimming contacts in the receptacle assembly.

Install the on the surface of the lamp housing. It is recommended to seal the surface between the receptable components and the lamp housing to realize the water resistance. The receptacle housing has two mounting holes that can accept #8 flat-head groove screws. The appropriate length and type of screws musr be determined by the luminaire manufacturer.Depending on the type of gasket used and the type of screw installed, the installer needs to determine the torque of the mounting screw to ensure a waterproof seal between the receptacle and the lamp housing .

Wiring diagram
The receptacle lines must be connected on the line with the correct supply voltage or dimming signal source.The wiring diagram shown is for referential purposes only. The luminaire manufacturer is required to determine the wiring diagram based on the balper and driver which has dimming control components.

Stress relief
It is recommended to provide a device to secure the extended leads of the receptacle assembly to prevent excessive force being transferred from the lead to the wire/connector interface. The recommended stress relief method is to use a cable strap or fixing bracket installed inside the luminaire.

Mounting and demounting the dimming controller from the receptacle
The naught wire pins of the dimming controller is larger than the pin of the wires and load. In mounting , after correctly aligning the power pins at the receptacle power contact circuit , push down until the bottom of the dimming controller fits to the surface of the receptacle and slightly presses the gasket. Then by the twisting the dimming controller in a clockwise direction, the dimming in demounting , operate the above procedure in reverse.Qualification

The ANSI C136.41-2013 dimming receptacle is the component recognized by American insurance Laboratory in document E66375, volume 5, and has been approved by CSA international audit of UL.
