Wire-line core drilling equipment is very commonly used for mineral exploration for deep holes because of practical usage:pulling, stacking and lowering drill rods each time the core barrel is full.

They do not need couple and uncouple the rod string each time the core is retrieved so wire line core barrels are used for deep holes. An overshot assembly is dropped on a cable and directly connect to the inner tube assembly, allowing fast retrieval of the core after each operation
Wire line core barrels are higher penetration,higher core recovery ratio.Longer bit life and lower labor intensity,and the advantages get more clear with the increasing of hole depth.
The head assembly has latching and pivoting spear point mechanisms which allow insertion and retrieval of the inner tube assembly, a bearing assembly to allow the inner tube to remain stationary and avoid sample damage while drilling, fluid pressure operating indications and fluid control valves.
Now we proviede four types of overshot assembly: BQ, NQ, HQ and PQ,this is the retrieval device lowered on the wireline to recover the inner tube assembly containing core.
