Sand Maker Sand Production Process:
Vertical shaft impact crushing mechanism sand has been used in large hydropower projects since the mid-1990s. The production processes include dry, wet and semi-dry methods. However, no matter what kind of production process is used, there are some disadvantages such as large sand fineness modulus and small median diameter, which seriously affect the quality of concrete and its poor adaptability to various concrete ratio requirements.
Most of the domestic projects use the vertical shaft impact crusher
as the main production equipment for sand making. The form of the
crushing chamber is “stone stone” or “stone iron”, and its
traditional production process adopts
“feeding→crushing→sieving→returning”. (or into the warehouse)".
According to the production process of Figure 1, the stone material
is sent to the vertical shaft crusher by the feeder and the belt
conveyor. After being crushed, it is sent to the screening machine
for classification. The stones larger than mm are all returned to
the transfer bin for circulation, 5~ The 2.5 mm stone material is
divided into 2 channels: one returning to the transfer bin is
broken by the crusher, and the other is entering the finished sand
bin; and the stone less than 2.5 mm enters the finished sand bin or
enters the spiral classifier to the finished sand bin. The
production process is characterized by simple process flow and low
energy consumption per unit; stone materials of 5 to 2.5 mm are
subjected to repeated cycle crushing, and the crushing effect is
poor, and the energy loss is slightly larger; 2.5 to 1.25 mm and
1.25 to 0.63 mm grains in the finished sand. The diameter of the
stone is less; the control of the particle size of the finished
sand is difficult (man-made factor control); the finished sand rate
is low.
