Hammer Union Seal

Qinuo produced a full line of Hammer Union Seals for use on flow lines. These Hammer union Seals are designed to seal on a Figure 1502 unions with typical pressure ratings for standard service of 15,000 PSI and are tested to 22,500 PSI. SAIXUAN seals also produced a line of HNBR Hammer Union Seals for Sour Gas Service. The standard Hammer Union Seal is produced from an elastomer; however, Qinuo Seals produces a line of HUS seals with Brass backup rings as well as a line with stainless steel backups. So no matter what your application requires QINUO Seals can produce the seal you need. For other material configurations or nonstandard sizes contact your QINUO Seals sales associate.

Hammer union seals are used in the connections between flexible hoses or pipes used in the oil drilling industry. The seal provides a critical fluid tight connection within the union hardware.
Hammer unions consist of a thread end, a nut end, and a hammer nut that when tightened seal the assembly with the assistance of an elastomeric seal. The seal is lipped to prevent it from falling out when inverted.
Some profiles such as Fig 2202, Fig 1004, Fig 1502, Fig 2002, Fig 602, Fig 1002 etc require a Hammer Union Lip Seal or an 'O'Ring depending on the Size of the Hammer Union.
offers 2",3", and 4" Hammer Union Seals in Nitrile for standard service and in FKM or HNBR for Sour Gas Service. In addition to the standard molded rubber seals, we offer these with either a brass or stainless steel anti-extrusion ring. Also available in PTFE.
