What is Thermosetting powder coating:

1. Thermosetting powder coating refers to a thermosetting resin as a film-forming substance, and a curing agent which is subjected to a crosslinking reaction is heated to form an insoluble and infusible hard coating. The temperature is higher and the coating does not soften like a thermoplastic coating, but only decomposes. Since the resin used in the thermosetting powder coating is a prepolymer having a low degree of polymerization, the molecular weight is low, the leveling property of the coating is good, the decoration is good, and the low molecular weight prepolymer is cured. Application of Thermosetting Powder Coat :

  1. First the part must be prepared. It must be thoroughly cleaned so that the powder coating will stick smoothly to it.There are both mechanical and chemical ways to prepare the part. The curing process in powder coating is known as crosslinking, and depending on the type of coating that is being used, it requires a specific temperature and a specific amount of time in the heat in order to reach full cure and create the properties it was designed to offer.
