I. The role of medicine & health grade centrifuges
The TCM formula granules are prepared by extracting and concentrating the single-flavored TCM decoction pieces for clinical formula of Chinese medicine. Chinese medicinal herbs are extracted, concentrated, dried, granulated, packaged, and processed into a new formulation of uniform specification, uniform dosage, and uniform quality standard.
In the pharmaceutical extraction industry, a water extraction process and an alcohol extraction process are generally employed, wherein the water extraction process (water as solvent) is commonly used in the pharmaceutical industry, and suitable for extracting substances whose active ingredients are soluble in water and relatively stable but is not conducive to refining. At present, alcohol extraction is an increasingly adopted process (solvent is an alcohol medium), mainly because alcohol has good solubility and strong penetrating ability to Chinese herbal cells. The dissolved water-soluble impurities are reduced and the extraction effect is better. However, it has high requirements on the explosion-proof performance of the production equipment.
With the rapid development of centrifuge technology, the understanding of the field of medical applications is deepened. At the separation section, the centrifuge is gradually replacing, by virtue of its closed production, high efficiency and high recovery rate, conventional three-legged centrifuges and other filtration-type separation devices.
II. Characteristics of medicine & health grade centrifuges
The key to production equipment is to avoid external pollution, mixed batch pollution of drugs, and mixed pollution and cross-contamination of different varieties of drugs.
★ Material selection
The sealing material and lubricating grease in the contact with the material accord with the relevant standards of food and medicine.
★ Design of equipment sanitation level
o The structure is designed to avoid the precipitation zones of gaps and fine particles that are difficult to wash and remove;
o The gross finish of the surface in direct contact with the material: the unevenness is at most 0.8 μm (sanitary level polishing);
o The CIP washing system sprays water directly onto the drum surface, the buried spin, the hood, and the inner wall of the pedestal.

Full-automatic cleaning system and advanced cleaning procedure
The centrifuge control system is arranged with a fully automatic cleaning procedure. The multi-step mode of high-speed cleaning→low-speed cleaning (multi-stage)→high-speed multi-level cleaning ensures that it is thoroughly washed per mechanical cleaning. To avoid human factors, a 360° high-pressure cleaning nozzle is used for the hood, the inner cavity of the base, and the outer surface of the drum. | |
When the centrifuge is equipped with a production line using an alcohol extraction process, based on the characteristics of the above centrifuge, a complete set of inert gas protection device is also provided, which, in the production process, can avoid oxygen-containing gas from entering the device and prevent leakage of alcohol media to ensure the safety of equipment and environment. |
