High quality cnc metal lathe tool blade turning Tool carbide inserts
Indexable turning tools have the following advantages:
A. The tool life is high because the blade avoids the defects
caused by high temperature of welding and grinding. The geometric
parameters of the tool are entirely guaranteed by the blade and the
tool bar groove. The cutting performance is stable and the tool
life is improved.
B. High production efficiency, because the machine tool operators
no longer grind the knives, can greatly reduce the downtime, tool
change and other auxiliary time.
C. It is conducive to the promotion of new technology, new
technology indexable knives and the promotion of the use of
coatings, ceramics and other new tool materials.
D. It is helpful to reduce the cost of cutting tools because of the
long service life of the tool rod, which greatly reduces the
consumption and inventory of the tool rod, simplifies the
management of the tool and reduces the cost of the tool.
Clamping characteristics and requirements of indexable turning tool
blades:
A. The change of tool tip position should be within the allowable
range of workpiece accuracy when the positioning accuracy is high
and the blade is changed or a new blade is replaced.
B. The reliable clamping of blades should ensure that the contact
surfaces of blades, tool pads and tool rods are closely fitted and
can withstand impact and vibration, but the clamping force should
not be too large and the stress distribution should be uniform so
as to avoid crushing the blades.
C. Smooth chip removal blade in front of the best barrier-free, to
ensure the smooth chip discharge, and easy to observe.
D. Easy to use, easy to change blades and update blades. For small
size cutters, the structure should be compact. When meeting the
above requirements, the structure is simple and the manufacture and
use are convenient as far as possible.
(4) Forming turning tool is a special tool for processing the
forming surface of revolving body. Its edge shape is designed
according to the workpiece profile and can be used to process the
forming surface of internal and external revolving body on various
lathes. When parts are machined with formed turning tools, the
surface of parts can be formed at one time. It is easy to operate
and has high productivity. After processing, it can reach tolerance
grade IT8~IT10, roughness is 10~5 micron, and it can ensure high
interchangeability. However, the manufacture of forming turning
tools is complex, the cost is high, and the working length of the
blade is wide, so it is easy to cause vibration. Forming turning
tools are mainly used to process large batches of medium and small
size parts with formed surface.
Classification by use

(2) Basic uses of various turning tools
(a) 90 degree turning tool: used for turning the workpiece's outer
circle, step and end face.
(b) 45 degree turning tool: used for turning the workpiece's outer
circle, end face and chamfer.
(c) Cutting knife: used to cut the grooves cut out on the workpiece
or workpiece.
(d) Boring cutter: used for turning the inner hole of the
workpiece.
(e) Forming turning tools: used for turning fillets, grooves or
workpieces with special shapes at the step.
(f) Thread turning tool: used for turning threads.
