Lu'An melon slice is the literal translation for "Lu An Gua Pian".Lu'An melon slice is in lamellar shape that resembling the seeds of sunflower, hence named "melon seeds slice". This green tea is grown in Lu'An county located in Anhui province.It is a richly elegant tea with all the stems and buds carefully removed . The Emerald leaves produce an extremely smooth beverage with a refreshingly floral aroma. Yet the richness is not overpowering and the smoothness lasts from start to finish.
History:
The history of Lu An Gua Pian dates back to the Tang Dynasty,
which is recorded in Lu Yu's Cha Jing describing it as a "Superior Tea".
Lu Yu said that " the famous moutain in the world could raising celestial grass,
the warm climate in Jiangnan is suitble for tea,
and the north of Changjiang river is famous for Liu An Gua Pian".
Brewing Guide:
Use up to one tablespoon (3 grams) per cup and steep for three minutes. Keep the water below the boil, but just after the steam (170-180F). It is good for several infusions.
