The rectangular saddle ring packing bed has a large gap, which is a circular arc liquid channel, which reduces the resistance of the gas through the bed layer, and also reduces the radial diffusion coefficient of liquid downward flow. The shape of the saddle ring is situated between the ring and saddle, so it has the advantage of both. This structure is beneficial to the distribution of liquid and the increase of the gas passage.
