Key design features of IHI turbocharger RH models

1. The Francis turbine and radial compressor are assembled into a single unit.
2. Turbine side - Seal rings and heat shields are provided so that gases do not come into contact with the bearings.
3. Compressor side - sealing plates and sealing rings prevent air and oil leakage.
4. Thrust bearings prevent the shaft from moving due to thrust, and two types of journal bearings are available:

i) Semi-floating type; Traditional floating bearings rotate, but semi-floating bearings do not rotate;
ii) Fully floating type; When the bearing bush rotates, a double-layer oil film is formed on the inner and outer surfaces of the bearing.
