Protection Feature:
• The surge arrestors TY-40 meet the type 2 requirement class
according to IEC 61643-11.
• 35mm electrical lead rail installation
• These devices protect low-voltage consumer systems from
overvoltage of all types and are available in single-pole to
four-pole versions.
• 8/20us wave form, low residual voltage
• The use of high-performance varistors permits a rapid response
time and a low protection level, without any line follow current.
• Remote signaling port, remote alert
• If circumstances are uncertain and there is a risk of fire from
an overload, the internal cut-off unit disconnects the arrestor
from the mains if necessary.

Protection Applicable Scope:
1. Low voltage main power distribution cabinet or distribution box
of the buildings
2. Type 2 Surge Arresters provide protection against overvoltage
originating from switching and the secondary effects of lightning
strikes.
3. Floor distribution box of buildings
4. These devices will discharge current having an 8/20μs waveform
and provide a low voltage protection level of ≤1.5kV (Up) for
sensitive electronic equipment exceeding the requirements for
category II equipment identified

Installation:
- • The type 2 arresters must install into sub-distribution boards after main distribution boards containing type 1 arresters.• For proper operation between type 1 and type 2 arresters at least 10- 15 m cable or wire must be otherwise a decoupling coil have to install between the two devices.• In areas where storms are frequent, it is strongly recommended to install additional protection systems.
