Fast Welding Speed High Welding Strength by 28Khz Ultrasonic Power
Welding Equipment
Description:
Ultrasonic spot welder welding principle is to convert 50/60 Hz
current into 20, 28, 35 kHz electric energy through ultrasonic
generator. The converted high frequency electrical energy is again
converted by the transducer into a mechanical motion of the same
frequency, and then the mechanical motion is transmitted to the
welding head through a set of amplitude modulator devices that can
change the amplitude.
The horn transfers the received vibrational energy to the joint of
the workpiece to be welded, in which the vibrational energy is
converted into thermal energy by friction to melt the plastic.
The short pressure maintained on the workpiece after the vibration
stops causes the two weldments to solidify in a molecularly linked
manner. Generally, the welding time is less than 1 second, and the
obtained welding strength is comparable to that of the body.
Ultrasound can be used not only to weld hard thermoplastics, but
also to fabrics and films. The main components of a set of
ultrasonic welding systems include ultrasonic generators,
transducer/amplifier/welding head triples, molds and frames.

What are the characteristics of ultrasound?
Our ears can only distinguish sounds with a frequency of 20 to
20,000 Hz. Sound waves with a frequency higher than the human
hearing frequency range are one of the categories of sounds. They
belong to mechanical waves. Sound waves mean that the human ear can
feel a kind of longitudinal wave. The frequency range is
16Hz-20KHz. When the frequency of sound waves is lower than 16Hz,
it is called infrasound wave. When it is higher than 20KHz, it is
called ultrasonic sound wave. Ultrasonic wave has the following
characteristics:
1. Ultrasonic waves can be effectively propagated in media such as
gases, liquids, solids, and solid solutions.
2. Ultrasound can transmit very strong energy.
3. Ultrasound produces reflection, interference, superposition and
resonance.
4. When ultrasonic waves propagate in a liquid medium, strong
impact and cavitation can occur at the interface.
