Introduction:
The KN95 respirator face mask is the most common of the seven types
of particulate filtering facepiece respirators. This product
filters at least 95% of airborne particles but is not resistant to
oil.
Use an KN95 mask even if you cannot see the particles because they
may be too small to see. N95 masks do not protect you against
chemical vapors, gases, carbon monoxide, gasoline, asbestos, lead
or low oxygen environments.
You should only use an N95 mask that is certified by the National
Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)
