A. The horizontal honing rod can be divided into four forms according to the material of the workpiece and the hardness of the workpiece:

a), ordinary rod: This kind of rod is mainly used for honing heat-treated steel workpieces, ceramic products, powder metallurgy workpieces with hardness above HRC50.

b), +S rod: This rod is mainly used for honing ordinary steel workpieces (including stainless steel) with hardness below HRC35.

c), +J rod: This rod is mainly used for honing aluminum workpieces and copper workpieces.

d), +Y rod: the honing rod with the alloy guiding lining. It is mainly used for honing materials such as ductile iron, gray iron, stainless steel, etc. It can also be used for honing of heat-treated steel parts with hardness above HRC35.

B. The horizontal honing head is mainly divided into: horizontal ordinary honing head, alloy honing head, weight reducing honing head.
