EMI Test System with 9KHz to 300MHz EMI Receiver and Artificial
Mains Network
1. Introduction
Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) refers to the interference
phenomenon caused by the action of electromagnetic waves and
electronic components, includes conduction interference and
radiation interference. Conducted interference refers to the
coupling (interference) of signals on one electrical network to
another electrical network through a conductive medium. Radiated
interference means that the interference source couples
(interferes) its signal to another electrical network through
space. In high-speed PCB and system design, high-frequency signal
lines, integrated circuit pins, various types of connectors, etc.
may become antennas. A characteristic source of radiated
interference that emits electromagnetic waves and affects the
normal operation of other systems or other subsystems within the
system.
The EMI test system includes:
Name | Model | Description |
EMI Conducted Interference Test System (Includes Artificial mains network (LISN), receiver, software) | EMC500 | Test range: 9K~300MHz. Among them, 30M~300MHz is radiation disturbance test for luminaire and household appliance. |

2. Preparation:
1). Lab: no less than 4m*6m. As far as possible in the first floor,
and there is wet mud outside the door all year round. Or there is
water pipe with material of galvanization or cast iron, in order to
use as a signal ground.
2). Test bench: 2 tables, one for EMC500, the other for computer
and printer
3). Wooden bench: 1 wooden table for EUT with size of
1000mm*2000mm*400mm (W*L*H)
4). Aluminium plate: two pieces for reference plate with size of
2000mm*1000mm*(2~3)mm (L*W*thickness)
5). Insulating plate: 1 piece for EUT with size of
2000mm*1000mm*(10~14)mm (L*W*thickness)
6). Computer: 1 set with at least 1 RS232C port.
