2J to 50J Pendulum Hammer Mechanical Impact Test Apparatus IEC62262
1. Introduction
The pendulum hammer mechanical impact test apparatus can meet the test requirements of IEC60068-2-75 and IEC62262. The equipment consists of striking elements, swing pipes and test rig. The striking elements is made of steel, and there is a hole in the middle of the striking element for fixing with the swing pipe, the equivalent mass is not equal to the actual mass of the striking element. The swing pipes hae length of 1000mm, and the masses of the swing pipes is configured as per the combination mass of the striking elements. The test rig is made of aluminum alloy, with four wheels at the bottom, and the whole device can move freely. The falling height is adjustable to perform IK07 to IK11 tests, the equipment configures with a dial to indicate the falling height. The travel height can be customized to fit with different height of impact points.
Pendulum hammer can be applied to the cases that the impact points are on vertical surfaces without overhangings.
2. Parameter

3. Frequently asked questions
1). How to know the falling height?
Pego: the equipment configures a dia to indicate the falling height. Pull the swing pipe to the corresponding height and release it.
Model (energy) | 2J | 5J | 10J | 20J | 50J |
Equivalent mass/kg | 0.5 | 1.7 | 5 | 5 | 10 |
Height of fall±1%/mm | 400 | 300 | 200 | 400 | 500 |
2. How to position the sample?
Pego: The equipment configures with a flat mounting fixture, for testing lighter samples, they can be placed on the mounting plate. And the mounting plate is equipped with M6 screw holes, so the sample can be firmly fixed on the mounting plate and can be tilted 0-90°. For testing heavy or volume samples, they can be put in ground.
3). How to aviod secondary impacts?
Pego: The hammer shall be retained after the initial impact by grasping the striking element with hand, while avoiding the arm so that distortion is prevented. Users can also use device with electronic brake, but there is a risk of deformation of the swing arm.
4). Will you provide installation service?
Pego: the equipment will not need installation service, we will ship the equipnent as a whole.
