The traditional COB adopts the powder-pointing process, the color of the mixed light is not pure, and the color is not easy to control when mixing the light. Good color consistency can only be achieved by sacrificing the yield rate.

The lamp beads of CSP are arranged more densely, and the light is split before packaging, and the light-emitting angle is larger. The light color accuracy of CSP is relatively high. In terms of color consistency of mixed light, CSP has obvious advantages over traditional COB.

The flexibility of COB and SMD is average. If the operation is improper, the package of COB will fall off, and the SMD may break the bracket of the lamp bead.

However, because CSP has no fragile links such as brackets and gold wires, it uses glue to protect the lamp beads, which is safe and reliable. The chip is smaller in size, can be made thinner and lighter, has a smaller bending force angle, and has stronger flexibility.

SMD light strips are widely used because of their various sizes, and are more suitable for indoor edging. Waterproof products can also be used for outdoor outlines.
