Metric Small Thread Forming White Stainless Steel Trim Screws Fasten Metal Parts Together
1. Description:
Pan head machine screws can be considered both a screw and bolt and
can be paired with nuts and washers or threaded into any internally
threaded item that has the same machined thread patern
Pan heads have a domed top with a flat load bearing surface on the underside that will hold materials being fastened firmly together; these machine screws can be paired with an internal tooth lock washer to form a bond that will withstand vibrations and high traffic when required
Phillips pan head are the most commonly used machine screws and being made from stainless steel makes these fasteners the best choice for replacing old screws or using on a project that will be exposed to a damp or corrosive enviroment
These phillips pan head machine screws are driven with a Phillips drive bit which is very common; the phillips drive has a tendency to slip if there is too much torque applied during installation and these machine screws being made of a high quality stainless steel which is softer than other non corrosion resistant
fasteners are also susceptible to stripping so it is recomended to use a slower speed or to set the clutch on the driver so when the machine screw is fastened completely the drill does not shred the phillips drive
These phillips pan head machine screws are made from a high quality stainless steel grade 18-8 which offers one of the highest levels of chemical and corrosion resistance that will out perform and out last all zinc plated fasteners for years with out the need to perform costly and time consuming maintenance

3. Applications:
Machine screws differ from bolts as they have a shaft with a helical groove or thread formed on its surface.
Machine screws have machine threads for use with a nut or in a tapped hole. Also referred to as a stove bolt.a threaded fastener, either used with a nut or driven into a tapped hole, usually having a diameter of about 1/4 inch (6.4 mm) or less and a slotted head for tightening by a screwdriver.
Machine screws are used with nuts or screwed directly into a threaded receptacle to fasten metal parts together. Measured from the underside of the head to the tip of the screw to obtain fastener length. If nuts are needed, use with nuts of the same finish and threading for proper fit.
