Gravity casting
It is a modern process for making hollow casting molds for casting
from heat-resistant alloy steel.
The metal type can be either gravity casting or pressure casting.
The metal mold can be used repeatedly and repeatedly. Once the
molten metal is poured once, the casting is obtained once, and the
life is long and the production efficiency is high.
The metal castings not only have good dimensional accuracy, but
also have a smooth surface, and the casting strength is higher than
that of the sand type when casting the same molten metal, and it is
less likely to be damaged. Therefore, in the case of mass
production of medium and small castings of non-ferrous metals, as
long as the melting point of the casting material is not too high,
metal casting is generally preferred.
Metal casting also has some shortcomings: because the
heat-resistant alloy steel and the hollow cavity on which it is
processed are relatively expensive, the metal mold is expensive,
but the overall cost is much cheaper than the die-casting mold
cost. . For small batch production, the cost of the mold allocated
to each product is obviously too high, which is generally not easy
to accept. Moreover, because the metal mold is limited by the size
of the mold material, the ability of the cavity processing
equipment, and the casting equipment, it is also ineffective for
particularly large castings. Therefore, metal casting is rarely
used in small batches and large parts. In addition, although the
metal mold uses heat-resistant alloy steel, its heat resistance is
still limited. It is generally used for the casting of aluminum
alloy, zinc alloy and magnesium alloy. It has been used less in
copper alloy casting and used for ferrous metal casting. It's even
less.
Custom Product Process
1. Customers send drawings or samples for quotation, such as 2D drawing (.dwg / .pdf) and 3D drawing (.igs / .stp), and provides information such as material, weight and required quantity.
2. Engineers carefully check the drawings to provide a specific manufacturing plan. The quotation will include mold cost, product manufacturing price, packaging and shipping costs.
3. Customer places an order and signs the contract after the two parties have no objection to the price.
4. Mold and samples are produced once we receive the advance payment.
5. Customer confirms the sample;
6. After the sample is confirmed, mass production is started.
7. Finished products will be packaged and transported after testing.
Quality Inspection
The inspection of castings mainly includes dimensional inspection, visual inspection of appearance and surface, chemical composition analysis and mechanical property test. For castings that are more important or easy to cause problems in the casting process, non-destructive testing is required, which can be used for ductile iron castings. Non-destructive testing techniques for quality testing include liquid penetrant testing, magnetic particle testing, eddy current testing, radiation testing, ultrasonic testing, and vibration testing.
