The function of the skeleton oil seal is generally to isolate the parts in the transmission parts that need lubrication from the output parts so as not to let the lubricating oil leak. it is usually used for the rotary shaft and is a kind of rotary shaft lip seal. The framework acts as a reinforcing steel bar inside the concrete member and enables the oil seal to maintain its shape and tension. According to the skeleton type, it can be divided into inner skeleton oil seal, outer skeleton oil seal, and inner exposed skeleton oil seal. When using oil seal reasonably, the following points should be paid attention to:
( 1 ) due to design and structural reasons, high-speed oil seals should be used for high-speed shafts and low-speed oil seals should be used for low-speed shafts. low-speed oil seals cannot be used for high-speed shafts, and vice versa.
( 2 ) when the ambient temperature is relatively high, polypropylene ester or silicon, fluorine and silicon fluorine rubber should be selected. And should try to reduce the oil temperature in the oil tank. Cold resistant rubber should be used when the service temperature is too low.
( 3 ) the oil seal with normal pressure has poor ability to withstand pressure. when the pressure is too high, the oil seal will deform. Pressure bearing rings or reinforced pressure seal should be used under the condition of excessive pressure.
( 4 ) the degree of eccentricity of the oil seal when installed and the shaft are too eccentric, the sealing performance will deteriorate, especially when the shaft speed is high. If the eccentricity is too large, the oil seal with " w" cross section can be used.
( 5 ) the surface finish of the shaft directly affects the service life of the oil seal, that is, the service life of the oil seal will be long if the shaft finish is high.
( 6 ) pay attention to a certain amount of lubricating oil at the lip of the oil seal.
( 7 ) special attention should be paid to prevent dust from entering the oil seal.
