Product Description for HY 993 All Clear MS Polymer Sealant

HY993All Clear MS Polymer is a single component, low modulus, highly flexible adhesive cure by atmospheric moisture.

It’s Ideal for applications where differential thermal expansion and contraction between substrates could be an issue.

Not recommended for


  1. Total water immersion, frosty or moist surface;
  2. Do not use on joints immersed in water or applications requiring continuous water immersion
  3. Unsuitable for application when the surface temperature is lower 4℃ (40℉) or over 40℃ (110℉);

Coverage:

A 600ml (20oz) cartridge will extrude approx. 9.5m (31 ft) of a 6mm (1/4”) bead.


Storage and Transportation:


Not damaged by freezing. Store in temperature above 4℃ (40℉) and below 40℃ (110℉). Allow any unwanted product to harden and dispose with trash or use an approved household hazardous waste facility.

Substrates preparation

A. All surface must be clean and dry, degrease and wash off any contaminates that could impair adhesion.

B.Certain plastic may require specific surface treatment to obtain optimum adhesion. Such as the polypropylene, which should need chemical corrosion or plasma treatments?



How to apply

A. Apply a bead of neutral sealant to one of the prepared surface, and then quickly cover with the other substrate to be bonded.

B. On exposure to moisture, the freshly applied material will “skin over” in about 10 to 15 minutes at room temperature and 50% relative humidity. The surface is easily tooled with a spatula.
