DIN1.3207 high speed tool steel, high speed steels for metal-cutting tools, Dia: 2-400mm
Application
High-carbon, high-speed steel grade based on Mo, with high resistance to wear, red hardness and toughness. This steel grade displays good grind ability as a result of its low V content. Tools severe mechanical wear, e.g. in cases of small cross-section cuts and high cutting speeds. Particularly suitable for die-sinking cutters and one-lip cutters, and for tool bits in automatic lathes. Also suitable for non-cutting applications, e.g. cold extrusion rams, and for tools for machining aircraft materials, such as titanium alloys, etc.

High Speed Steel got hardness method: 1. Salt bath hardening or vacuum hardening 2. the temperature 1180-1200°C, if need high hardness add 10°C 3. in the temperature 560°C, tempering more than 3 times. The most important: control hardening temperature and time.
