Intumescent Material:

In the event of a fire, special intumescent material (shown as the above pic) expands and swells quickly to seal the downlight, so that the fire rated ceiling is maintained for its full duration. No firehoods of other devices are required, saving much considerable installation time. Unlike many other fire rated downlights, Eastech downlight includes an extra intumescent ring around the downlight face to provide a robust seal around the ceilig cut-out in the event of a fire.

Suitable Lamps:

The suitable lamps for Eastech fire rated downlights are LED (max 6W) / CFL (max 20W) / Halogen (max 50W) with standard diameter size 50mm. The length of the lamp for IP20 fixed and IP20 centre tilt model is max 78mm, while the length of the lamp for IP65 bathroom model is max 68mm.
