Flange Type Thrust Force Sensor FFR offers 0-100N / 0-200N / 0-500N / 0-1000N / 0-2000N / 0-5000N / 0-10kN seven rated measuring ranges to choose from, Column type thrust force transducer FFR is designed for compression force measurement with flange-to-flange configuration. Flange Mounting Compression Load Cell FFR is suitable for applications such as automated control process, cylinder thrust measurement, assembly force monitoring, bearing press fit measurement, welding clamping force control, hand press force verification, fixture clamp force test and so on. A Force Sensor is a transducer that converts mechanical load into mV signal proportional to the applied force.The acting force causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded strain gage deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus the load/force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the transducer.

Output signal of load cell and amplifier:
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of Flange Mounting Load Cell FFR is normally around 1.5mV/V.
Power supply of Flange Surface Load cell FFR is normally within 3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of Compression Type Thrust Force Sensor FFR is normally within 0…+22.5mV.
Example one: Flanged Thrust Force Transducer FFR-200kg with 1.5mV/V sensitivity powered by 5V DC,the output range is 0mV...+7.5mV.
Example two: Flange Type Thrust Force Sensor FFR-1000kg with 1.5mV/V rated output powered by 10V DC,the output range is 0mV...+15mV.

The mV/V output from the wheatstone bridge sometimes can hardly be processed directly, a signal conditioner can be used with the load cell to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output.
Example one: Flange Type Compression Force Transducer FFR-5kN working with amplifier FSC(0-10V)-24V,the Load-Voltage relationship will be 0-5000N compression force VS 0-10V output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error, 1V output corresponds to 500N compression load, 2V output corresponds to 1000N compression load, and so on.
Example two: Flange Mounting Compression Force Sensor FFR-1kN working with amplifier FSC(4-20mA)-24V,the Force-Current relationship will be 0-1000N compression force VS 4-20mA output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error, 4mA output corresponds to “0” load, 5.6mA output corresponds to 100N compression load, 12mA output corresponds to 500N compression load, and so on.
