Ceramic pins provide high durability and reliability at a much lower cost than full ceramic pins, and are less prone to shattering after being mishandled or dropped. Ceramic-coated pins are more durable and cost-effective than anodized steel or KCF, and do not require heat treatment before use.

Silicon nitride ceramic welding pin made of silicon nitride significantly increase service life and enable high levels of precision and greater accuracy over extended periods in projection welding. Metal welding pins often need to be replaced several times a day due to wear and adhering slag, whereas centering pins made of silicon nitride ceramics only need to be replaced about once a month.
