Pure Copper Woven Wire Mesh With High Electrical Conductivity and Thermal Conductivity
Copper woven wire mesh is pliable, malleable, and has high thermal and electrical
conductivity. These characteristics make it very popular used in
RFI shielding, Faraday Cages, HVAC as well as numerous
electrical-based applications. Copper woven wire mesh is able to
easily bend but still maintain its strength.
Copper woven wire mesh is in red color when first woven and will gradually patina to a greenish/bluish called verdigris. This patina effect may be accelerated by first removing surface oil. After rinsing it well, the copper will shine but will be unprotected.
In an outdoor environment, the discoloration will become pronounced in less than six months in climates such as the seashore, or it may remain untarnished for years in desert conditions. This discoloration may be stopped by lacquering, waxing, or periodically oiling the mesh to protect it from atmospheric conditions
