3-strand Mixed Polypropylene and Polyethylene Mooring Ropes is a strong, lightweight, abrasion resistant, thermally bondable and comfortable rope. It is also resistant to sunlight, soil and staining. Mixed polypropylene and polyethylene is resistant to deterioration from chemicals, perspiration, mildew, rot and weather. It also has quick drying properties and able to provide a good bulk and cover. It is made up of bi-component fibres made of a blend during extrusion of polypropylene and of polyethlene, with a minimum of 15 % and a maximum of 50 % of polyethylene.
