The power assembly carried by Volvo S90 PHEV is composed of a 2.0T high-power mechanical+turbo dual-charged engine, a front ISG motor+a rear drive motor, an 8-speed AT gearbox and a three-element lithium battery with 11.6 kilowatt-hour capacity. The maximum output power of this powertrain system is 300 kW, the maximum output torque is 640 Nm, the official 100-km acceleration time is 4.9 seconds, which is 2 seconds faster than the BMW 5-series PHEV model, and the pure electric range is 55 kilometers. The suspension mode adopts the front double-wishbone and rear multi-link structure commonly used in advanced cars, and the aluminum alloy material is largely introduced to reduce the unsprung mass. Of course, the model platform of S90 PHEV still continues the architecture of S90 traditional cars.

The engine carried by Volvo S90 PHEV is the high power engine used by the XC90 top model, with 2.0TDI double supercharging setting, the maximum output power of 235 kW and the maximum output torque of 400 Nm.
