Capacitance Per Unit Volume
Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are made of absorbent paper soaked
in paste electrolyte sandwiched between two aluminum foils, and
thin oxide films are used as capacitors. Because the oxide film has
unidirectional conductivity, electrolytic capacitors have polarity.
Large capacity, can withstand large pulsating current, large
capacity error, large leakage current. Aluminum electrolytic
capacitors are not suitable for long-term storage. Even if they are
stored under normal conditions, the leakage current of electrolytic
capacitors will increase, and they must be recharged and aged
before use. The life of aluminum electrolytic capacitors is
affected by the working temperature and ripple current. If it is
used under the rated conditions, the life can be extended,
otherwise it will be shortened.
