Carbon Steel Channel Pre-Galvanised Carbon Steel Profile 1000mm~8000mm
There are three types of standard American steel channels:
Structural channel, Bar channel and Miscellaneous channel. Carbon
steel profile channel is mainly used in structural applications.
This type of channel is generally used in trusses, wall framing,
bridges, ships and other similar structures. The other two types of
channels, bar and miscellaneous, have different uses. Bar channels
are mostly used for Support members in buildings and bridges or as
Tracks for trolleys, cranes and conveyors. On the other hand,
miscellaneous channels are used as guard rails, Decorative trim and
architectural supports.
All American Standard Steel C Channels shall be classified
according to their shape:
C-shape: An open-channel section with tapered flanges (top) meeting at the
web willowy central member
I-shape: An open-channel section with parallel flanges (top and bottom)
Z-shape: A closed-channel section with top and bottom flanges parallel to
the web
U-shape: A closed section shaped like the letter U
L-shape: A closed section shaped like the letter L
