Machine Introduction
The rubber mixing mill with a roller diameter of 450mm is a common rubber processing equipment. The following is a detailed introduction about it:
1. Basic structure:
- Roller: It is the core component of the mixing mill. 450mm refers
to the diameter of the working part of the roller. The roller
usually adopts a hollow structure to facilitate heating or cooling
operations. The surface of the roller has been specially treated
with high hardness and wear resistance to ensure that it can
maintain a good working condition during long-term use.
- Frame: It is used to support and fix other components such as
rollers and transmission devices to ensure the overall stability of
the mixing mill. The frame is generally made of welded steel
structure with high strength and rigidity.
- Transmission device: It is responsible for transmitting the power
of the motor to the roller so that it can rotate at different
speeds. Common transmission methods include gear transmission,
chain transmission, etc., among which gear transmission has the
advantages of high transmission efficiency and smooth operation.
- Distance adjustment device: The distance between the two rollers
can be adjusted to meet different rubber processing requirements.
The distance adjustment device usually adopts worm gear adjustment
or hydraulic adjustment, which is labor-saving, convenient and
reliable.
- Safety brake device: When an emergency occurs, the roller can be
braked quickly to ensure the safety of the operator. For example,
after pressing the emergency stop button, the mixing mill can stop
running immediately.
- Heating and cooling device: used to control the temperature of
the roller to meet the temperature requirements during rubber
processing. The heating methods include electric heating, steam
heating, etc., and the cooling method usually uses water cooling.
2. Working principle: When the mixing mill is working, the two rollers rotate relative
to each other at different linear speeds. The raw rubber or rubber
material is placed on the top of the roller. Due to the friction
and adhesion of the roller surface and the bonding force between
the materials, the rubber material is pulled into the roller gap.
In the roller gap, the rubber material is subjected to strong
shearing and extrusion, causing it to deform, thereby increasing
the interface between the components and achieving distributed
mixing. Through repeated mixing operations, the macromolecular
chains inside the rubber are broken, and the various components in
the formula can be mixed evenly to achieve the expected melt
plasticization and mixing state.
3. Performance parameters:
- Roller linear speed: The linear speed of the front roller is
generally around 18-25m/min, and the equipment produced by
different manufacturers may vary. The linear speed of the roller
will affect the mixing effect and production efficiency of rubber.
- Speed ratio: The speed ratio of the front and rear rollers is
usually around 1:1.27. The speed ratio is set to make the rubber
receive better shearing effect between the rollers and improve the
quality of mixing.
- One-time feeding amount: The one-time feeding amount is generally
between 25-50kg. The specific feeding amount needs to be determined
according to the type, formula and processing requirements of the
rubber.
- Driving motor power: The power of the driving motor is usually
between 45-75kW. The power determines the working capacity and
production efficiency of the mixing mill.
4. Use:
- Rubber plasticization: reduce the molecular weight of raw rubber,
increase its plasticity, and make it easier to process and shape.
- Rubber mixing: evenly disperse various rubber compounding agents
(such as carbon black, sulfur, accelerators, etc.) into the rubber
to improve the performance of the rubber.
- Hot refining of rubber: heating the plasticized or mixed rubber
to increase its temperature evenly, improve the fluidity of the
rubber, and prepare for subsequent processing.
- Rubber sheeting: pressing the refined rubber into a certain
thickness of rubber sheet to facilitate subsequent molding.
5. Advantages:
- Simple operation: the structure is relatively simple, and the
operator can master the operation method after a certain training.
- Strong applicability: it can be applied to rubber processing of
different types and formulas, and can meet the various needs of
rubber product manufacturers.
- Easy to observe: the open structure allows the operator to
directly observe the rubber refining process, find problems in time
and make adjustments.
6. Disadvantages:
- High labor intensity: the operator needs to manually add
materials, turn over rubber and other operations, which has a high
labor intensity.
- Poor working environment: during the rubber refining process, the
rubber will produce a certain amount of dust and exhaust gas, which
has a certain impact on the health of the operator.
- Relatively low production efficiency: compared with other rubber
processing equipment such as internal mixers, the production
efficiency of open mixers is relatively low.
