1. Setting the vulcanization temperature
1. Material properties
- Different rubber materials have different vulcanization temperature requirements. Generally speaking, the vulcanization temperature of natural rubber is around 140℃ - 150℃; the vulcanization temperature of synthetic rubber such as styrene-butadiene rubber, butadiene rubber, etc. may be slightly higher, between 150℃ - 170℃.
- For some special rubber materials, such as fluororubber, silicone rubber, etc., the vulcanization temperature may be higher or lower, which needs to be determined according to the characteristics of the specific material.
2. Product thickness
- The thicker the product, the higher the required vulcanization temperature. This is because it takes longer for heat to penetrate the thick product to ensure that the inside can also be fully vulcanized.
- For example, the vulcanization temperature of a thin rubber sheet
may achieve a good vulcanization effect at a lower temperature,
while a thicker rubber product requires a higher vulcanization
temperature.
3. Type of vulcanizer
- Different types of hot vulcanizers may have different heating methods and temperature distribution characteristics, which will also affect the setting of the vulcanization temperature.
