This Cisco GLC-BX80-D compatible Gigabit Fiber Transceiver is a single fiber bi-directional Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) module for use in 1000BASE Ethernet and 1G Fiber Channel applications. A max transmission can reach up to 80km over single-mode fiber (SMF) using 1570nm on the transmitter side and 1490nm on the receiver side.

This Cisco gigabit fiber transceiver is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3 1000BASE-BX80 and SERDES standard, SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and can be used on the MSA compliant networking equipment.

The Cisco GLC-BX80-D compatible Gigabit Fiber transceiver module is tested to be compatible with Cisco networking equipment including Ethernet Switches, Routers, Network Interface Cards (NICs) and Ethernet Media Converters.

The Gigabit Fiber transceiver is an ideal equivalent to the original Cisco GLC-BX80-D SFP Ethernet module but with a more cost-effective price.
