FRP (also known as glass fibre reinforced plastic, internationally recognised by the abbreviation GFRP or FRP) is a variety of composite materials with a wide range of properties and uses. It is a new functional material made from synthetic resin and glass fibre through a composite process.
Advantages of FRP
(1) FRP is light and strong

high frequency. Microwave permeability is good, has been widely
used in radar radome.
(4)FRP has good thermal performance
FRP thermal conductivity is low, 1.25~1.67kJ/(m-h-K) at room
temperature, only 1/100~1/1000 of metal, is an excellent thermal
insulation material. In the case of transient ultra-high
temperature, it is the ideal thermal protection and
ablation-resistant material, and can protect the cosmic craft to
withstand the rush of high-speed airflow above 2000ºC.
