B, for overhead optical cable: overhead messenger must be electrical connected and grounded every 2km, grounding directly or through a surge protection device which is suitable for grounding. Such an overhead hanging messenger is with ground wire protection.

C, after the fiber optic cable come into the fiber terminal box, fiber optic terminal box should be grounded so when the lightning current come into the metal layer of the fiber cable, terminal box grounding can quickly release the lightning current and play a protective role. The direct buried optical cable has armored layer and reinforced core, and the outer sheath is PE (polyethylene) sheath, which can effectively prevent corrosion and prevent mouse bite.
